Pre-Register Online
Please use this link to preregister for your initial consultation, MRI and/or UFE procedure at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital. Please note that if you are registering to see Dr. Fischer for an initial consultation, you will also need to go to the "online forms" section, print out the forms there, complete them and bring them with you to the office. Both of these processes will make your visit to our office more efficient. Please contact us with any questions or problems with preregistration or completion of the forms. Thank you.

Mindy Vondenstein is a Physician Assistant for Singleton Associates. She works in partnership with Dr. John Fischer in the clinical management and coordination of the uterine fibroid patients.
Mindy has been in the medical field for over 13 years. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing in 1998 from the University of North Carolina in Charlotte. She worked as a surgical ICU nurse in Mobile Alabama. She went back to school and earned her master's degree in health science with a focus on Physician Assistant Studies in 2002 from the University of South Alabama. She worked in radiology for 3 years in North Carolina before moving to Houston. She worked in reconstructive plastic surgery for 5 years at MD Anderson before joining us here at St Luke's Episcopal Hospital.

In her free time Mindy enjoys spending time with her family. She also enjoys cooking, reading books, and traveling.

Susan Hill is the UFE Administrative Coordinator in the Radiology Department. Ms. Hill has over 9 years experience in the medical industry. She is a native Houstonian and enjoys genealogical research and sewing. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact her via phone and or email.

Our experienced procedure team also consists of several radiology technologists, radiology nurses and administrative assistants who assist Dr. Fischer to ensure that your procedure goes as smoothly and safely as possible.

IN MEMORY OF

We lost a close friend and valuable member of our UFE team on Monday, December 4, 2006 when Armandena "Dena" Gonzales passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. Dena had worked at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital for 14 years and was instrumental in helping Dr. Fischer to build the UFE program from the ground up. She touched the lives of many patients and co-workers. She will be sincerely missed by all of us who had the pleasure of working with her.
